A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I’m a 13-year-old drummer, and I’ve been obsessed with rhythm since I could walk. My passion for drumming started when I was just a year and a half old. Back then, my favorite “drum kit” was actually my mom’s kitchen cabinet. I’d empty it out, line up all the Tupperware containers, grab a pair of wooden spoons, and just start jamming. It probably drove everyone crazy—but I couldn’t help it. I just had to drum.
Right before I turned 4, I started professional drum lessons. I’ve been studying ever since, constantly trying to push myself and improve. Over the years, I’ve learned everything from basic grooves to complex fills and double bass techniques. I love exploring different genres, but my heart lives in rock and metal.
Some of my biggest influences are legendary drummers like John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), Joey Jordison (Slipknot), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), and Andy Galeon (Death Angel). Their styles, energy, and creativity have shaped how I approach the drums—not just technically, but emotionally. They taught me that drumming is more than just keeping time; it’s about telling a story through rhythm.
Right now, I’m lucky enough to be taking lessons from Andy Galeon himself, which is insane! Learning directly from someone I’ve looked up to for years is helping me grow in ways I never imagined. He challenges me to think outside the box, dig deeper into my technique, and bring everything I’ve got to every beat. I also just started taking lessons with Mike Vanderhule from Y&T as well. Mike is bringing critical thinking to my drumming and technique.
When I’m not drumming, I love listening to new bands, messing around with different sounds, and working on my own riffs and fills. Drumming is more than just a hobby—it’s part of who I am. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next.
